    HI Tony –
I’m sure you learned a lot last semester as it can’t be easy when you are teaching a highly collaborative class with students and you can’t be in the same room with them and some of them don’t have instruments.

I know another challenge is that you don’t have the same collaborative teaching experience that other departments have. I was just reading Nate’s post, and you may be interested in reading it too: http://teach.isb.bj.edu.cn/nlong

I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with students next year as you move into your new spaces, but also have the flexibility of potentially going online again at some point throughout the year.

Thanks, Julie, for your comment. Yes, indeed it is a real challenge running the ensemble with the impact of this worldwide pandemic. I love Nate’s poetic way of expressing himself as a band director and a caring educator. I agree with him even we do not have all the answers, we still can search for opportunities to maximize the students’ learning with the uncertainty lay in front of us.
